Rebel House in downtown East Boca is truly a must try restaurant! Chef Eric Baker, who worked there in 2012, bought the restaurant in late 2019 and has continued the tradition of great food; amazing ambiance, and a fun outdoor seating area! Planters made from colanders hang from the ceiling, hand-painted renegade slogans are splayed across the rafters, and headless mannequins with pasties and fishnet stockings are perched in corners. In a city known for pink buildings and prissy patrons, Rebel House is a Boca restaurant that’s the antithesis of Boca, more East Village punk than Del Boca Vista early bird. Chef Eric calls it an “American brasserie,” a 100-seat dining room with red-leather banquettes along one wall, mismatched furniture and a gritty, L-shaped bar with a view of a semi-open kitchen. There’s room for everyone: FAU students, millennials, young professionals and even card-carrying AARP members. A “creative chef” oversees the “innovative” Eclectic-American eats at this “cool” East Boca gathering place featuring small and large plates; from the graphic art–covered walls to the “amazing drinks” and “addicting” free popcorn, it's a “fun” hangout for “wild”, “young” folks as well as the “suit-and-tie” crowd.
Start your evening sipping one of their amazing cocktails while enjoying Lobster Meatballs; Cobia Pastrami; or Califlower Caesar. For an entree, wrap your mouth around a short rib rebel crunch wrap; Horseradish Crusted Salmon; or a mouth watering grilled to order NY Strip Steak! Tables are well spaced inside, or take advantage of their patio and dine under the stars!
You MUST TRY this restaurant!
